Prof Gani completes 3 weeks (1-21 August) visiting professorship at the Chemical Engineering Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. During this period, Prof Gani gave a course on Advanced Computer Aided Modelling for graduate students and a departmental seminar on “Synthesis, design and analysis of energy efficient sustainable processing alternatives”.

Orakotch Padungwatanaroj, our new researcher, graduated from The Petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University. Her research interests in process simulation and optimization. She received her B.Sc. degree in Chemical Technology, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 2014 and her M.Sc. degree in Petrochemical Technology from The petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 2017.

On 8 August 2018, PSE for SPEED Company Limited received financial support from NIA, National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), THAILAND to develop computer aided tools for property estimation and process analysis that will contribute to PSE for SPEED’s overall objective of sustainable and innovative design of chemical products and their manufacturing processes. The duration of this project is one year.

A-Z of Biorefineries workshop successfully held on 19-20 July 2018 at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
In the workshop, Prof. Rafiqul Gani introduced the very useful knowledge and technology, and discussed the innovative creation pathway together with Biorefinery industry in Thailand.
The workshop was sponsored by PSE for SPEED, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Research Fund (CAT-REAC industrial project), and the Crown Property Bureau incoporated with National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA chair professor).
In this time, over 150 participants attended the workshop and there were 50 delegates from industries.

PTT gas separation unit, the largest gas separation operator in Thailand, agree to have one year service agreement contract together with commercial feasibility project with PSE for SPEED.
Amino-Chem, a chemicals manufacturing company from China, has signed a collaboration agreement for another commercial feasibility project with PSE for SPEED.
